Ladies of the Gate

Today I  introduce you to the Ladies of the gate. Princess Bridie and her ladies are the keepers of the gate, situated at the top end of Waharoa Valley it is the only known entrance to Arohanui.  No one who wishes to do harm in the kingdom has ever tried to enter, but Bridie takes seriously her duty and she and her ladies keep an ever vigilant watch over the gateway.

Ladies of The Gate

Princess Bridie - A princess famous across many lands for her beauty, Bridie is tall and strong, an Irish wolfhound born to the magical kingdom. Her regal bearing, soft liquid brown eyes and flaxen hair, lit with silver and gold in the sunlight, enchants all who lay eyes upon her. Princess Bridie loves the gentle, enigmatic goats who are rivalled only by the mythical unicorns for their beauty, charm and mystery. She knows most of her kind do not revere the goats, that indeed they wish to banish them from these lands.

Lady Liffey Longlegs - Bridie’s best and most loyal friend in all of the land. They have been friends since they were whelps. Lady Liffey is fierce in her loyalty and will cut any to the ground who seek to upset Bridie.

Lady Sapphire - Her beauty is said to rival that of the night sky. Lady Sapphire is not given to flights of fancy and considers herself a realist.

Lady Verity - Is known across many lands for her virtuous voice, her pure heart shining through in her songs.

Lady Florence - The self appointed protector of the woodland faerie folk. They are under constant tyranny by squirrels and Lady Florence has made it her mission to keep safe the faeries of the woods.

Duchess Lobelia - A graceful noble lady who is named after the same beautiful blue flower which Countess Hesby wears in her hair. She is great friends with Lady Florence and hunts with her the dastardly squirrels. By keeping Florence company she hopes to keep her from becoming totally obsessed with the hyperactive creatures.

Lady Evie De Morton - A young, serious and kind  hound who is still to find her way in the group of friends.

Tomorrow I will introduce to you the Knights Of Agisumlond.
